Yesterday I was lucky enough to watch my best friend and her partner get hitched. It was a perfect day, family and friends gathered to watch two people who love each other choose to spend the rest of their lives together. There are some people who will object, claim they have no right to have the same rights as others but you know what as far as I am concerned those people have no right to an opinion. If their parents failed to teach them the basic good manners of ‘if you can’t say something nice say nothing at all’ and if they really believe that their ‘god’ will reward them for spewing hate then they are sadly mistaken. We live in a world where hate lurks constantly seeking to destroy community, family and friendships, people push their own beliefs by twisting religion, if you are a Christian didn’t your god spell it out for you in the commandments ‘Love thy Neighbour’ not judge them, or interpret the bible to suit yourselves, no it was a pretty simple sentence but maybe they know better than god and will tell him exactly what he meant right before he sends them straight to hell for hating and making themselves and their priests into false idols.
I digress the fact is no matter what the rest of the world thinks I was honoured to watch my friends get married, blessed to be part of their special day, and if truth be told slightly hungover this morning. The sun shone down upon them as they start their new life together and the day was filled with love, laughter and good times

The weather couldn’t have been nicer for them. I’m glad it was such a good day and that you had a good time albeit you have a hangover.
